• The first screen that comes after running the OpsHub Integration Manager installer is shown below.

  • After you click Next, the license agreement window appears. If you agree with the license terms and conditions, then proceed to Installation by clicking Next.

  • Select the installation directory.
    • All the log files, configuration files, and servers are placed in this directory. If the directory is not available, create a directory as per your specifications.
    • Once the directory is selected, click Next.

  • The next step is Registration. Each installation must be registered with OpsHub. Registration can be done either in Online or Offline mode.

  • Now, select the Installation type (database). Proceed by clicking Next.

Note:

  • Click the checkbox adjacent to Advance Configuration option only if you have to install OpsHub Integration Manager in https mode.
  • You can learn about https configuration in detail here, SSL Certificate Configuration.

  • The input form then asks you to select the Authentication mode: SQL Authentication or Windows Authentication.

  • In either of the cases, specify the following database credentials to connect to MS SQL and give the path of the Connector Jar to allow OpsHub Integration Manager for database transactions.
    • Enter the Database Host Name, for example localhost (For using Named Instance of MSSQL Server, append the Instance Name to the Database Host Name, separated by %. For e.g., localhost%SQLExpress. In the case of Named Instance, port is to be kept empty.)
    • Enter the Database Port Name, for example 1433
    • Enter the Database Username, for example sa
    • Enter the Database Password, for example password

Note:

  • The path to the Connector Jar is given in the application window itself.
  • For this application, the default database name will be ‘opshub’.

  • For using Named Instance of MS SQL Server, append the Instance Name to the Database Host Name, separated by %. For e.g., localhost%SQLExpress. In the case of name Instance, port is optional.
  • Enable the authentication mode at the instance level
1. For SQL Authentication mode:

Once you have filled in the information, click Next.

2. Windows Authentication Mode:

Once you have filled in the information, click Next.

Note:

  • The option to set logon user for the OpsHub Server Service appears in either of the two cases: When you have not selected advance configuration option, or when you have selected “Install OpsHub as a service” option in the advance installation screen.
  • Enter the required details to set logon user for the OpsHub Server Service.
  • Windows UserName and Password can contain: Alphabets (a-z,A-Z), Numbers (0-9), and Special characters from the list: !@#$%^&*()_+|-=\{}:<>?[];’,./~`. If the username or password contains anything other than the above characters, open services and set OpsHub Server Service log on user to currently logged on user.

  • The installation begins.

  • Once the installation is finished, the following screen would come up. Click Next.

  • Shortcut will be added to the Windows program list if the operating system is Windows and to the Linux program list if the operating system is Linux. It will also create OpsHub Integration Manager launcher. Click Next to set up shortcuts in the Operating System (OS) start menu. Then, click Next to complete the installation process.

  • Once installation completed successfully, click Done.
